What happens when you pack a convention center full of women’s basketball? You get a blur of flying braids, fierce ponytails, and nonstop action. Twenty-four courts, over 60 teams (just in the 16U division), and 1,179 games over three days. Every single team out there battling like there’s no tomorrow.
Tournaments this size always bring a mix of teams—some elite, some still developing—and we definitely saw the full spectrum. Our first game? Total buzz saw. We bounced back with a win in game two and held our own in the last two matchups. I’m really proud of our squad—especially my fellow freshmen and sophomores. We stuck together, gave it everything we had, and played with heart.
No time to rest—we’re right back at it, grinding in practice and getting ready to take on the next tournament.
